The announced plans to introduce compulsory voting or minimum turnout requirement, measures against the so-called vote buying and increase in state financing of political parties are either socially unacceptable or hard to realize. The motives behind this kind of debate are easy to be noticed. The last week’s elections did not put end to the growing disagreements within the governing bodies of the two parties. In such circumstances logically arises the need to draw away the public attention. Thus, the announced plans probably will not create concrete measures.
